Looma Media - Our Recent Projects (2024)

We’re halfway through 2024 now, and we’re happy to be welcoming summer. We’re entering our busiest season, so we wanted to take you through some of the stuff we’ve been working on so far this year – in all its variety.

January

Cambie Roofing - Video Business Card

This video business card for longtime local roofing pros Cambie Roofing was designed to highlight the breadth of their services and the quality of their work. Moreover, it showcases that they have been a tight-knit, family-run organization since the 1960’s, and that their commitment to knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient roofing services is what’s kept them in business for over 75 years.

District Warrior - Promo

While this collaboration with local Muay Thai legend Ali “Dagger” Khanjari was designed primarily to highlight his martial arts prowess, it also serves as an advertisement for his Muay Thai/fitness studio, District Warrior. Filmed at 5:00am on a frigid December morning, we pulled out all stops in terms of camera shenanigans and editing precision, producing this action-packed homage to pure fitness and athleticism.

Looma Media - Video Business Card

Our video business card is designed to show the personality behind our brand, build trust with potential clients, show off our work, and to help break the ice. Filmed on location in our Yaletown office, our VBC also features clips from our work, highlighting the breadth of our existing client base, the skill of our videographers, directors, and editors, and our commitment to high-quality work

Old Fashioned Standards

We partnered with Vancouver-based fashion champ Old Fashioned Standards to produce this brand story with owner Cassandra Bailey, whose dedication to high-quality design and sustainable sourcing immediately caught our eye. This video was designed to mirror her dedication to top-tier quality, highlighting her commitment to craft and her affinity for fabricating long-lasting, stylish, well-fitting clothes that are made to last a lifetime.

Prestige Guitars

Since their founding in the early aughts, Vancouver’s Prestige Guitars has dedicated themselves not to mass production, but instead to custom-building high-end electric and acoustic guitars — all produced by a team of master craftspeople. This video explores their building process from start to finish — sourcing exotic tonewoods, construction, inlays, details, painting, finishing, and electronics — while highlighting the team’s enthusiasm for maximum precision and absolutely unbeatable quality.

Natural Impressions Outdoor Play

This video business card for local playground experts Natural Impressions Outdoor Play shows their commitment to environmental sustainability and ethical business practices. We carefully engineered this video to highlight their eco-stewardship, their high-quality craftsmanship, and their commitment to creating unique and challenging playscapes for children all over British Columbia.

March

Bite of Burnaby

Since 2022, we’ve been the exclusive videographers for Tourism Burnaby, covering their Burnaby Halloween festivities, Bite of Burnaby events and restaurants, Symphony in the Park, and more. Styled for maximum outreach in the tourism industry, our video content was carefully and cooperatively produced to showcase Burnaby’s dynamic recreational events, their remarkable facilities, and their dedication to providing guests with a truly exceptional experience.

Strange Fellows Brewing

One of our favourite local brewers Strange Fellows Brewing collaborated with us on this promotional shoot, allowing us behind-the-scenes access to their brewery and tap room for a short but entertaining promotional video and some social media content.

Eastside Boxing Club

For Eastside Boxing Club we were tasked with producing a variety of educational social media content that was meant to help boxers at any level of experience learn and grow. Making short but comprehensive instructional videos is no easy task, but our creative use of text and graphics - not to mention stellar direction and talented athletes - helped this project come to fruition nicely.

April

Saint John Paul II Academy

This private school in south Surrey needed a short-and-sweet promo video that appealed to an array of demographics — curious parents, potential donors, and, most importantly, prospective students. Because it needed to check a lot of boxes, it was a challenging project (especially in post-production) but we found a way to tell the touching story behind the founding of the school, leading to a final product that shares a lot of valuable information without compromising its emotional edge — or exceeding it's runtime.

Westside Pest Control

An ongoing social media client, our work with Vancouver’s Westside Pest Control has involved monthly shoots and the production of dozens of informative, educational video content and ads for all of their social media channels. Our videos help them reach potential clients while showing off the lighter side of pest control work, the personality behind the company, and their commitment to sustainability.

Gotta have fun at work, too!

Meridian Plumbing

This video business card for Meridian West Mechanical - a local plumbing, heating, and HVAC company - shows of the breadth of their services and the quality of their work. However, it was actually primarily designed for employee recruitment and retention, showing off their dedication to a healthy work culture, competitive wages, and benefits.
